Blurb Edition || Sick Of Being Sick

crazy to believe August is halfway through. crazy to believe this year is more than halfway through. crazy to believe the last year of highschool is starting in just two weeks. good grief, time needs to slow down.

August has been a chill month, just like the rest of summer I guess. the only thing is I've been sick for one month and counting now. remember that post ("Amazing Grace...") waaay back where I said I was recovering from a cold? yeah, same cold never went away. for three weeks, I coughed like a nut 24/7, and now the cough has reduced to only daytime and thankfully no longer intervenes with my beauty sleep. hehe.

I've already been to the doctor's three times over the course of three weeks and it's starting to get just a little embarrassing. the first time, he dismissed my silly idea of tapeworm infection, dubbed my condition as a virus, and sent me home with the instructions: eat light, rest well and chug liquid. when the cold refused to budge and evolved from fatigue and tummy ache to coughing and sinus congestion, we visited the doc again and this time he gave me a cough syrup and antibiotics for three days. fast forward last week, countless crumpled tissues, stuffy noses, and antibiotics later, I'm still nasally and tired of being tired. this afternoon went to the doc's again. I could've sworn he thought, "oh no! not her again!" as soon as he walked into the door. instead he smiled and said, "hi! weren't you here last week?"

yes sir, I was, and I was supposed to get better but I didn't.


oh well, doc prescribed antibiotics for two more weeks, along with odd nasal sprays and whatnot. if sticking things up my poor nostrils (eww) and the pills don't do the trick well...  nevermind, I'll get better. if not, then according to the doc, it's CAT scan and specialist next...

health issues aside, I know I'm very behind on putting out a playlist for this month but the reason is I haven't been listening to any new music, or any music really period this month. sad, right? I'm not even sure how that is possible, considering how I call myself a music junkie. can't live right without that stuff... but I guess I can. ha. okay, so I do have some songs, but you'd hardly call it a playlist. check it:

01 [Taylor Swift-We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together] yeah, people are complaining that she sounds like Avril Lavigne. in my opinion, I really could care less. this song is catchy and showcases a different side of T-Swizzle that was high time we heard. I mean, did you expect her to keep up with the little fairytales and twinkly acoustics? (not saying I have anything against that though) a little disappointed that she seems to only ever sing about boys and breaking up with them, but hey, that's pretty much what every other artist sings about in the industry now, right? <rollls eyes> next, please.

02 [The Biebs-As Long As You Love Me covered by Anthem Lights] JUSTIN BIEBER?! adlkfjsdlkjfa. calm down people, I'm no belieber. I just like Anthem Lights. and how they cover the song. and the song. but not him.

03 [Gym Class Heroes-The Fighter covered by Paradise Fears] beautiful cover, video makes it very meaningful. original is pretty swell too, but contains some language.

mhmm, that's all. see? told you I didn't really have much. other than being sick you ask, what exactly have I been up to? well, let's see here. I've been telling everybody the same thing: SATs and SATs. haha, what an exciting summer, believe me, I know. also started to narrow down on my list of schools, not that it was big in the first place. which schools you ask? not telling! if ya know, ya know but otherwise, you'll be the first to know when I get accepted into whichever school hehe.

school is starting in two weeks. let senior yearr commence! I am stoked about it. I want it over with and I want it never to start so it can never end. come what may. it's gonna be a good year and I'm determined to finish well.

yeaaah well, that's pretty much it. I have a quick confession to make. whenever I write one of these blurbs where I pretend people actually want to know what's going on in my life, I feel like some broadcaster on some cheesy radio show. well, that's all for now folks. tune in on Friday to hear more from your favorite blogger in the world!
