Adios Amigos

i thought with the new year just in, it'd be a good time to embrace something, well, new (no duh) and say goodbye to a certain thing, particularly this one that i have in mind...

meet the metallic rectangle i promptly named "BELIEVER4EVA" (B4E) three years ago for who knows what reasons. it was my first laptop and i must say it's served me well. it even has a good ol battle scar on the bottom left corner that you can just barely see due to my horrific editing skillz. alas, all good things come to an end, and get replaced by well, better things.

being slightly obsessed with personalizing all my belongings, i wasted no time to deck this contraption out in all sorts of odd mishaps and colored adhesive. the collection has expanded over the past three years. dwarves, family pics, darth vader, apples, oh my! here's my explanation (or lack thereof):

i love my family, and i miss my fuzzball dearly. darth vader was my homeboy (he has of now been officially replaced by batman). i've never even watched green lantern. the sticker reads "i helped palmetto health children's hospital by eating moe's!" and fondly reminds me one of the best times of my life. the D.A.R.E. sticker was given to me by a random stranger at costco who probably thought it'd be good to warn a six-year old about violence&drugs on a whim. while in taiwan, i found snow white dwarf stickers on my grandmomma's kitchen table; the three picked represent me at different times--sneezy, grumpy, and dopey. the hearts are cut from tie-dye duct tape given as a present from someone most dear to me. and last but not least, an apple a day keeps the doctor away is a sweet little saying but may just be a tad bit overrated. ;)

well, goodbye to my first, and farewell to the crunky black rectangular i've come to adore so much, or rather as much as one can adore an inanimate object. (fyi folks, crunky is not a real word, but if it was it would be an adjective with the definitions ranging somewhere from downright creaky to crappy). so long to the overheating problems and adios to the partially cracked screen. retirement, B4E, will suit you well.
