Happy Monday! Right, is there anything happy about Mondays? Hm, let's talk about that. Here is my dedication to arguably the most hated day of the week.

Trust me, I detest Mondays as much as the next person. But at the same time, it marks a new week (I don't consider Sundays the first day of the week because I'm still in weekend mode). To me, Mondays are a little hope for something new and trying to catch my breath from being hammered with exams the week prior. Normally, I tend to blog after I take the not-so-good ones because I'm so emotionally charged right afterwards. But I will refrain from talking about that here.

Today is Monday. Today is a new day. Today I get a new week, another chance to start anew.

So here's a reminder for myself as I begin the week again and remind myself where my motivation and strength comes from. I hope that you find the same encouragement as I did when I read it on the train this morning.

12 I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service, 13 though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, 14 and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 15 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. 16 But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. 17 To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. --1 Timothy 1:12-17 (ESV)
